Established as Kawaishi Alcohol limited by Mikisaku Kawaishi who set up his own shop separated from Kawaishi head family. He started sake brewery in Himeji.
1928
Kousaku Kawaishi, the second owner, took over the business.
1964
Opened “Shusentei Nadagiku”, a restaurant directly managed by Nadagiku at the underground shopping arcade in Himeji Stataion
Completed “Kougura” made with reinforced concrete. That enabled us to make sake for three seasons, spring, autumn and winter.
1984
Masaya Kawaishi, the third owner, took over the business.
Opened “Kushiage Club Kura” ,the second restaurant directly managed by Nadagiku in the city of Himeji.
1994
Launched the guided tour of sake cellar in the head office Opened two restaurants “Maegura” and “Nishigura” by converting part of sake cellars.
There are five directly managed restaurants as of today.
2010
Commemorated 100th anniversary of its inception
2013
Over 100,000 visitors came to tours and dine at the cellars.
2020
Misa Kawaishi, the fourth owner, took over the business.
